Trevor Wright (Member of Chambers)
Date of call: 1992
Qualifications: LLB (Hons)(Lond) Queen Mary College
Trevor has prosecuted or defended the full spectrum of offences including homicide, fraud, false accounting, drug cases, death by dangerous driving and all sexual offences, in which he specialises. On a temporary recall, he was on the legal Staff of the Royal Navy where he attended Courts Martial. He continues to appear in the Court Martial, as well as the Crown Court, having previously defended before General & District Courts Martial in both Aldershot and Colchester.
Trevor has a substantial expertise in all aspects of family law having appeared in both County Courts and the High Court in private and public law cases. He has represented one of the London Boroughs in both complex care proceedings and adoption cases. He has represented parents in all aspects of family law from non molestation orders to challenges of paternity, from contact to foster care and adoption. He will give any parent involved in family law proceedings a clear summary of their case and a fair analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of his or her case.
He has a firm manner in any negotiations and understands the stresses and tensions parents experience when issues about their children ultimately can only be resolved in Court. The first meeting with him reassures the Client and his calm and understanding manner is welcomed by those caught up in what are often rancorous cases.
In his spare time Trevor can be found in his garden (of necessity), he enjoys photography, reading and choral music.
