Catherine has a broadly based common law practice.
Catherine has developed a wide ranging criminal practice which is predominantly defence-orientated. Her work in the Crown Court has covered a variety of areas including drug importation and supply; sexual offences including historic rape, incest and indecent assault; offences of dishonesty; immigration offences and violent offences. She has experience of confiscation hearings and enforcement.
Catherine also undertakes work for the CPS (having been seconded to CPS Kent in 2005), DWP and Local Authorities, including advisory work.
Catherine's practice is divided between matrimonial and children work. Her matrimonial work covers both divorce and ancillary relief in cases of wide ranging financial assets. Catherine is also regularly instructed in Children Act matters, both private and public. She has acted on behalf of Local Authorities, parents and extended family members.
Catherine has undertaken a broad range of civil work including small and fast track trials on liability and quantum concerning issues of negligence. She has also appeared in matters of housing, possession and bankruptcy.
